Privacy Policy

Cadence — Track life's natural rhythm

1. Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. Cadence does not have user accounts, servers, analytics, or telemetry. There is no data collection of any kind.

Specifically, Cadence does not collect:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Usage analytics or behavioral data
• Device identifiers or fingerprints
• Location data (even if location permission is granted, it is processed locally only)
• Advertising identifiers
• Crash reports or diagnostics sent to us

2. Data Storage

All data you create in Cadence — events, logs, photos, notes — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to:

• Enable iCloud Sync — If you turn on Family Sharing, data syncs via your personal iCloud account. This is governed by Apple's iCloud Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
• Export a PDF — You choose where to save or share the generated file.
• Share a streak or rhythm card — You control who receives it via the system share sheet.
• Send a family reminder — You compose and send the message yourself.

3. Apple Reminders Access

If you choose to import from Apple Reminders, Cadence reads your completed reminders using Apple's EventKit framework. This data is processed entirely on your device to detect recurring patterns. No reminder data is transmitted anywhere.

4. Photos

If you attach photos to log entries, they are stored locally within the app's data container on your device. Photos are never uploaded to any server.

5. Notifications

Cadence uses local notifications to send reminders. These are scheduled on your device and do not involve any external push notification service or server.

6. In-App Purchases

Purchases are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details.

7. Third-Party Services

Cadence does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-processing services. The only external services used are Apple's own frameworks:

• StoreKit (in-app purchases)
• CloudKit/iCloud (optional Family Sharing sync)
• EventKit (optional Reminders import)
• UserNotifications (local reminders)

All of these are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

8. Children's Privacy

Cadence does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Since we collect no data from anyone, this is inherently satisfied.

9. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by going to Settings → Reset All Data within the app. You can also delete individual events and logs. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update this page with the new date. Since we don't collect your email or contact information, we recommend checking this page periodically.
