Privacy Policy

1. Our Privacy Commitment

TeeMetrics is built as an offline-first, privacy-respecting application. We believe your golf statistics, scores, and personal data belong to you — not to advertisers, data brokers, or cloud services you didn't choose.

2. Data We Do NOT Collect

TeeMetrics does not collect, store, or transmit:

• Your email address or contact information
• Your golf scores, statistics, or round history
• Your device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Health or fitness data from HealthKit

3. Data Stored on Your Device

All data you enter into TeeMetrics is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This includes:

4. Location Data

TeeMetrics requests location access ("When In Use") for the following purposes:

• Course auto-detection: To suggest nearby courses from your library when starting a round
• Course map display: To show your approximate position relative to a course

Location data is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. You can deny location access and the app will function normally — you'll simply need to select courses manually.

5. Community Course Sharing (CloudKit)

TeeMetrics offers an optional community feature where users can share golf course data with other TeeMetrics users. This feature uses Apple CloudKit's public database:

• What is shared: Course name, city, state, location coordinates, par, yardage, slope rating, course rating, and hole-by-hole data
• What is NOT shared: Your name, Apple ID, scores, personal data, or any identifying information
• Contributions are labeled "TeeMetrics User" — fully anonymized
• Data is stored in Apple's CloudKit public database, governed by Apple's Privacy Policy
• This feature requires an iCloud account and is entirely optional

6. Apple Services Integration

6.1 MapKit

TeeMetrics uses Apple MapKit to display course maps. Map tile requests are sent directly from your device to Apple's servers. Apple's use of this data is covered by their privacy policy.

6.2 HealthKit (Optional)

If you grant permission, TeeMetrics may read or write workout data to Apple Health. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us. You can revoke HealthKit permissions at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy > Health.

6.3 StoreKit

TeeMetrics Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of purchase status but do not receive your payment details, Apple ID, or billing information.

6.4 CloudKit

Used exclusively for the community course sharing feature (see Section 5). We do not use CloudKit to sync or store your personal golf data.

6.5 Siri / App Intents

TeeMetrics supports Siri Shortcuts for starting rounds and checking stats. Siri interactions are processed by Apple on your device. We do not receive transcripts or voice data.

6.6 Notifications

TeeMetrics may send local notifications (inactivity reminders, achievement unlocks, weekly recaps). These are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no data is sent to external servers.

7. Third-Party Services

TeeMetrics does not use:

• Third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel, etc.)
• Third-party advertising networks
• Third-party crash reporting (no Crashlytics, Sentry, etc.)
• Social media SDKs or tracking pixels
• Any external backend servers

8. Data Export & Deletion

You have full control over your data:

• Export: You can export all round data as CSV from Settings at any time
• PDF Reports: Generate and share detailed round reports
• Delete: You can delete all data from Settings > Delete All Data
• Uninstall: Deleting the app removes all locally stored data

9. Children's Privacy

TeeMetrics does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The App does not require account creation or collect personal information. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us.

10. Security

Your data is protected by iOS's built-in security features, including:

• App sandboxing — no other app can access TeeMetrics data
• Device encryption via your passcode/Face ID/Touch ID
• CloudKit encryption for community data (encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple)

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision.

12. Your Rights

Because TeeMetrics stores data locally and does not collect personal data, most data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA) have minimal applicability. However, you always have the right to:

• Access all data stored on your device (it's all in the app)
• Export your data at any time (CSV or PDF)
• Delete your data at any time
• Contact us with privacy concerns
