Terms of Service

Welcome to TeeMetrics. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TeeMetrics mobile application ("App") provided by TeeMetrics ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using TeeMetrics, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TeeMetrics, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

TeeMetrics is an offline-first golf statistics tracking and round analysis application for iOS and Apple Watch. The App allows you to:

• Log golf rounds hole-by-hole with quick-score and detailed scoring modes
• Track shot-by-shot club performance and distances
• View analytics including score trends, strokes gained, handicap projection, and round comparison
• Set goals, earn achievements, and track weekly streaks
• Manage your golf bag with 6 pre-built templates or custom configurations
• Browse 660+ pre-loaded golf courses or share courses with the community via CloudKit
• Generate shareable round cards and PDF reports
• Log practice and range sessions
• Use Siri Shortcuts for hands-free round management
• Score from Apple Watch with phone sync

3. User Accounts & Data

TeeMetrics does not require account creation or registration. All data is stored locally on your device by default. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and any data stored within the App.

4. Community Features

TeeMetrics offers a community course sharing feature powered by Apple CloudKit. When you share a course with the community:

• Course data (name, location, hole information) is uploaded to a public CloudKit database
• Your personal name and Apple ID are not shared — contributions are anonymized
• Community courses are available for other TeeMetrics users to discover and import
• We reserve the right to remove inappropriate or inaccurate community contributions

5. Subscriptions & Payments

5.1 Free Tier

TeeMetrics offers a free tier that includes:

• Unlimited round logging with quick-score and detailed modes
• Basic scorecard and statistics for your first 5 rounds
• Access to 660+ pre-loaded golf courses
• 6 bag templates with realistic club distances
• Apple Watch scoring
• Post-round celebration screens

5.2 Pro Subscription

TeeMetrics Pro unlocks advanced features and is available as:

• Monthly: $4.99 per month
• Yearly: $29.99 per year (includes 3-day free trial)
• Lifetime: $49.99 one-time purchase

Pro features include: advanced analytics and trends, strokes gained breakdown, handicap projection, round comparison, club recommendations, goal setting, achievements, practice session tracking, PDF reports, shareable round cards, CSV export, community course sharing, smart notifications, and weekly recaps.

5.3 Free Trial

The yearly subscription includes a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, no payment will be collected.

5.4 Billing

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.

5.5 Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple per their App Store refund policy. We do not process refunds directly.

6. Pre-Loaded Course Data

TeeMetrics includes 660+ pre-loaded golf courses for convenience. This data is provided as-is and may not be perfectly accurate. Course data is marked as unverified and users are encouraged to review and edit hole information before using it for scoring. We are not responsible for inaccuracies in pre-loaded course data.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose
• Upload intentionally inaccurate or offensive content to community features
• Attempt to interfere with the App's functionality
• Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App

8. Intellectual Property

TeeMetrics and all associated trademarks, logos, designs, and source code are the exclusive property of TeeMetrics. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Disclaimers

TeeMetrics is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
• Statistical calculations (handicap index, strokes gained, handicap projection) are official or certified by any governing body
• Pre-loaded course data or maps are accurate or up to date
• Club recommendations will improve your game

Handicap calculations provided by TeeMetrics are approximations based on publicly available USGA formulas and should not be used as an official handicap index. For an official handicap, please register with your local golf association.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TeeMetrics and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury.

11. Data Loss

While we design TeeMetrics with data integrity as a priority, we are not responsible for data loss due to device failure, software bugs, iOS updates, or user error. We strongly recommend periodically exporting your data via CSV.

12. Third-Party Services

TeeMetrics integrates with Apple services including MapKit, HealthKit, CloudKit, StoreKit, Siri/App Intents, and WidgetKit. Your use of these services is subject to Apple's terms and privacy policies.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or our website. Continued use of TeeMetrics after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to TeeMetrics at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App is revoked, though your locally stored data remains on your device.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict of law principles.
