Balance Horizon is a calendar-centric budgeting app for iOS that helps you plan and track your finances with a clear, visual timeline. All your data stays on your device — no bank connections, no cloud accounts required, no tracking.
When you first open the app, you will be prompted to enter a starting balance. You can update it at any time by going to Settings > Starting Balance and tapping on the current balance. Enter the amount that reflects your actual account balance for the most accurate budgeting.
Recurring transactions let you schedule income or expenses that repeat on a regular basis (daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly, or yearly). To create one, add a new transaction and enable the Recurring toggle, then choose your frequency. Recurring transactions will automatically appear on your calendar on their scheduled dates. You can manage all recurring transactions from Settings > More > Recurring Transactions.
Tap on any transaction in your calendar or transaction list to open it. From there, you can edit the amount, category, date, notes, or any other detail. To delete a transaction, swipe left on it in the list view, or open the transaction and use the delete option.
Yes. Balance Horizon stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your financial data. Balance Horizon supports voice input for quickly adding transactions. When adding or editing a transaction, tap the microphone icon to start dictating. The app uses Apple’s on-device speech recognition to convert your voice to text — no audio is sent to any server. You may need to grant microphone permission when prompted. You can manage this permission in iOS Settings > Balance Horizon > Microphone.
No. Balance Horizon does not connect to banks, credit card companies, or any financial institution. There is no Plaid integration or similar bank-linking service.
